Cut a gal some slack.) During a commercial break, I got up to get something from the kitchen. From the family room, I heard the unmistakable refrain from a Beatles classic.Personnel. One of Rubber Soul 's most memorable songs, 'Michelle' was written by Paul McCartney with a little help from the wife of an old schoolfriend. The song was one of McCartney's oldest, having been started in around 1959. He composed the tune on his first ever guitar, a Zenith, which he still owns. It was OK as a first guitar.Just now I saw an Amazon ad with a nice piano only cover of "In My Life" and that's probably the worst offender in my opinion. How dare they use one of John's best songs to sell me old woman butt pillows! I can't avoid Amazon because they're Amazon but I wanted my disapproval to be known.
