Remove it from the tractor to check the bearing (s) for drag or roughness. Some clutches allow for replacement of the bearings, some don't. Repair or replace before running it again. Worse things happen when a bearing completely locks up.Loosen the brake pad from underneath to remove the PTO sheave. There are two of those "nasty to remove" snap rings to hold the bearing in position. Remove the outer one and tap the bearing out with the button.
