It ran GREAT for the first week or so then we noticed that it was idling rough in gear with the A\C on. The reason your Kia Sorento shakes at idle but smooths out when accelerating is that the engine is spinning faster, which smooths out any misfires. If a motor mount is causing the problem, once you put the vehicle into gear, the torque from the engine will hold it against the frame. Newb here, when researching my problem I discovered this forum so I'm hoping I can get some expertise. My 2023 Kia Sportage SX Prestige has vibrated above 70mph since day one (it's at 10k now). The selling dealer felt the vibration, roadforce balanced the tires twice and then said the vibration was normal.You could give your Soul a dose of additive (Techron).Or,an injector cleaner.After you get to a bit over 5k miles, get the revs up a bit to clean her out some.I'm at close to 10k, my Soul runs like a dream.You do get some "adjusting'. from the engine at first start.This is normal (higher idle etc)until it warms up a bit.That is a passage around the throttle blade. On many cars the computer will lose its memory if the battery is disconnected or run dead and will have to relearn "minimum throttle" before it will know when it has to be in control of idle speed. Until then you also will not get the nice idle flare-up to 1500 rpm when you start the engine, and it ....
